We are reviewing the MIZUNO Yusho II that the guys from Martial Arts Supplies sent to us. This is the 3rd Yusho II that I own and it took me a very long time to find the perfect size that would fit my body and still comply with all the International Judo Federation regulations. Differently then Brazilian Jiujitsu, I do compete a lot in Judo and it is very important to me that I get used to the “fit” of the kimono before any competition.
This is the Chinese version of the Mizuno Yusho II, there’s another more expensive one that is made in Japan. I’ll explain the differences between them on the full review. Today the Japanese and the Brazilian Judo teams are sponsored by Mizuno and at this past team competition that happened in Salvador, the Brazilian team were all wearing this model and not the top of the line Mizuno YAWARA. This tell us a lot about how good the quality of this judogi is.
The YUSHO II model replaced the famous Mizuno SUPREME that was the mid-level competition model from Mizuno for many years.
So far I can tell you that I’m VERY excited about this kimono. It’s great to see how much the Judogi evolved.
What are your questions about the YUSHO II? What do you want to me cover on the review? Any picture request? Just let me know on the commets and I’ll add it to the full review when it comes out.
